According to official documentation: Nostr Asset Protocol is an open source protocol that introduces Taproot assets and Satoshis (Bitcoin units) into the Nostr ecosystem. Once assets are introduced, users can send and receive them at the Nostr protocol layer. The settlement and security of assets still rely on the Lightning Network. The Nostr Asset Protocol itself does not issue assets, but only introduces assets to Nostr through the protocol.

Project disputes
Because Nostr Assets always uses English on social media, it is also regarded as an overseas project by the crypto community. However, on November 8, the official account of Nostr Assets replied to a tweet in Chinese with The founders got it wrong. The screenshot was subsequently widely circulated in major communities, causing some users to doubt the true identity and reliability of the project team.
In response, Nostr Assets responded that in this day and age... there is something called Google Translate or ChatGPT. But the community didnt buy it, and further explored its grammar: There is something called XXX, which is a typical Chinese thinking sentence.
Other users have verified the Nostr Assets code and website, further confirming their false overseas identity.
As the BTC ecosystem explodes in growth, project status is uneven. Having an overseas background does not mean it is a good project. Domestic projects are not all serious projects. Investors still need to investigate and judge market risks and opportunities on their own.
