Tether: USDT will support Ethereum PoS conversion
USDT发行商Tether发文称，以太坊从PoW到PoS的转变将是区块链历史上最重要的时刻之一。Tether将密切关注这一事件的进展和准备工作，并将按照官方的时间表支持PoS以太坊。“我们相信，平稳的过渡对于DeFi生态系统及其平台的长期健康至关重要，包括那些使用USDT的平台。”
Tether表示，作为市场上最大的稳定币，交易量是最接近的竞争对手的10倍，也是以太坊区块链上使用最多的稳定币，有责任向社区保证对以太坊发展的支持。
据此前报道，Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino讨论以太坊合并后，USDT是否会支持PoW以太坊分叉链时表示，计划支持ETH2，对合并后的以太坊2.0的支持将是无缝的。“这与我们对PoW或PoS的偏好无关，稳定币应该负责任行事，避免对用户的干扰。”
