Open Letter to ETC Coop from ETHW Community: Ethereum Merger and Upgrade Will Inevitably Form Ethereum Hard Fork
EthereumPoW（ETHW）向ETC Cooperative执行董事Bob Summerwill发布公开信，信中表示：
本次以太坊“The Merge”升级必然会形成以太坊硬分叉, 无论你持有怎样的反对意见，你的对面, 站着社区、交易所、矿工和矿机厂商。如果过去一周, 你还没有意识到这股强大的共识, 那我们只好在九月份, 用事实让你意识到这一点。我们已经拆除了难度炸弹, 并完成了测试网的准备。
如你所言, “矿工转去「以太坊经典（ETC）」挖矿, 是人世间最容易的事”, 然而事实确实如此吗？ ETH积累了996 TH/s的算力, 而ETC只有区区27 TH/s, 转去「以太坊经典」挖矿听起来简单, 实际上是给所有的矿工穿小鞋。ETC这个小池子根本装不下ETH整个算力池, 这才是铁打的事实. 在这样铁打的事实面前, 本次硬分叉已属必然。即使没有ETHW, 也会有ETHX和ETHY。
ETC自打出生起, 就没再成长过。过去四五年的时间里, 原地踏步、停滞不前、没能建立任何生态。ETC过去都没能吸引来算力池, 以后自然也无法承接被ETHPoS遗弃的算力池。所以不管情愿与否, ETC只能尽早学着和新分叉出来的兄弟们共处。
此前消息，ETC Cooperative在致宝二爷的公开信中表示，其认为以太坊POW分叉不会成功，甚至会是一件非常困难的事情，呼吁其放弃ETH POW分叉，并鼓励矿工转移到ETC。
