Bitcoin Suisse, Managing Over $3 Billion, Plans to Cut Up to Half of Swiss Staff and Shift Some Operations Overseas
Odaily News: Bitcoin Suisse plans to cut up to 60 positions in Switzerland, approximately half of its local workforce, and relocate some software development and back-office work overseas. The company will close its Copenhagen IT development center, retain its Bratislava operations hub, and plans to establish a new center in Vietnam. CEO and co-founder Andrej Majcen stated that operating costs for related services in Bratislava and Vietnam are significantly lower, and that this adjustment stems from the company's international growth strategy and is unrelated to the crypto market environment. Bitcoin Suisse also plans to expand from crypto trading, custody, staking, and lending into wealth and asset management services for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. Its Liechtenstein subsidiary obtained authorization under the EU's MiCA framework in June.
