曾持有超10万枚BTC，Garrett Jin代理巨鲸实体过去一年多次巨额亏损

Odaily News: According to EmberCN monitoring, the whale entity represented by Garrett Jin once accumulated 100,800 BTC at an average price of approximately $7,242 between May and June 2018. At the same time last year, the position was worth over $10 billion at its peak, and subsequent investments were mainly funded by selling BTC.

Starting in August 2025, the entity gradually sold approximately 89,000 BTC and purchased approximately 900,000 ETH at an average cost of over $3,500. The ETH was subsequently transferred to Binance in batches during the first half of 2026. In December 2025, the entity went long on ETH on Hyperliquid; in early February 2026, ETH's price fell from $3,000 to $1,800, and a long position of 213,000 ETH worth approximately $670 million was liquidated, resulting in a loss of approximately $230 million in margin.

During the same period, the entity is believed to have provided partial funding to Trend Research. A leveraged long position of 651,500 ETH held by Trend Research was stopped out, resulting in a loss of approximately $734 million. The entity also accumulated approximately 289.6 million "Binance Life" tokens through Binance withdrawals and on-chain purchases between February and June of this year, worth approximately $150 million, accounting for 28.9% of the token's total supply. In March, the entity exchanged 50.43 million aEthUSDT for aEthAAVE and encountered extreme slippage, receiving only 327.2 AAVE, resulting in a loss of approximately $50.39 million. Since July, the entity has been shorting ZEC on Hyperliquid and currently has an unrealized loss of approximately $34 million.
