Deribit CEO Luuk Strijers stated that call options dominate the open interest for this quarterly contract, with a put/call open interest ratio of 0.69, indicating that the market had primarily been betting on price increases. Currently, about 55% of the approximately $9.4 billion in calls are in the money, and the max pain point for BTC options is $75,000.
