CryptoQuant: Transactions with Under 0.01 BTC Reach 80% of Total, Hitting a Multi-Year High
Julio Moreno, Head of Research at CryptoQuant, stated that transactions under 0.01 BTC now account for approximately 80% of the daily total transaction volume on the Bitcoin network, significantly up from around 44% in 2023.Moreno noted that this growth is primarily driven by OP_RETURN-based on-chain data protocols such as Runes, Ordinals, BRC-20, and data timestamping services. These protocols generate a large number of small transactions, with some transaction sizes as low as 546 satoshis (approximately $0.35), fueling a continuous increase in the number of low-value transfers.Furthermore, the Bitcoin network activity index has been rising steadily since January this year and has now reached its highest level since the end of 2024. Chainalysis: Tax Evaders Exploiting "New Digital Assets" to Evade Taxes
Odaily reports that, according to Chainalysis monitoring, tax evaders are turning to digital methods like Bitcoin Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens in an attempt to hide assets from tax authorities.Italian authorities recently cracked down on a tax evasion case involving an individual suspected of using Bitcoin Ordinals and the BRC-20 token standard to generate and conceal unreported capital gains of 1 million euros (approximately $1.1 million). The suspect used the Ordinals protocol and the BRC-20 standard to create tokens, which were then sent and listed on the market. The assets were sold at multiples of their original cost, with the profits transferred back to the main wallet in Bitcoin, and the proceeds were continuously reinvested into new inscriptions.Chainalysis stated that using cryptocurrencies for tax evasion has a fatal flaw: the inherent transparency of the blockchain leaves a permanent and immutable trail. Odaily News: UniSat stated on social media that it has noted recent changes in the Bitcoin ecosystem, but the team will continue to focus on the development of the Bitcoin mainnet and increase investment in infrastructure for Ordinals, Runes, and BRC-20.Specific measures include: starting March 1, 2026, the UniSat Marketplace will implement a 90-day zero service fee policy; expanding the early access invitation scope for UniHexa to enhance on-chain swap service capabilities for BRC-20 and Runes; initiating technical discussions on a single-step transfer solution for BRC-20; and upgrading the UniSat API to an MCP architecture that supports commercial-grade on-chain data services.Furthermore, UniSat plans to purchase no less than 500,000 FB tokens from the market in phases to participate in the Fractal standard indexing service set to launch in the second quarter, with the first phase of deployment expected to be completed within 15 days.
The UniSat UTXO tool now offers a fee model with rates less than 1 SAT/VB, improving idle asset utilization and optimizing transaction costs.
Odaily Planet Daily reported on November 28th that UniSat, a Bitcoin ecosystem service provider, announced the official launch of a "less than 1 sat/vB" fee mode in its UTXO management tool. This feature allows users to set a custom fee rate of less than 1 sat/vB (0.1-0.9 sat/vB) when network conditions are suitable, converting idle UTXOs into usable Bitcoin and thus reducing the cost of capital recovery. This tool can automatically categorize scattered UTXOs generated from BRC-20 casting and transfer operations and provides a one-click merging and recycling function. Taking a Native SegWit address containing 500 UTXOs (546 SATA each) as an example, a 98.7% fund recovery rate can be achieved using a rate of 0.1 SATA/vB, which is about 11.7 percentage points higher than the standard rate of 1 SATA/vB. In addition to the asset recovery function, the UTXO management tool's standardized operations such as batch sending, splitting, unlocking, locking, and merging also support the low-rate mode. The platform also notes that low-rate transactions may experience extended confirmation times or remain unconfirmed during periods of network congestion, and users are advised to adjust their rate strategies flexibly based on real-time network conditions.

UniSat responds to user asset loss cases: may be isolated incidents, confirming that wallets or platforms have not been hacked
Odaily News UniSat posted on the X platform that it recently investigated a user's asset loss case, and the results showed that the UniSat wallet or platform had not been hacked. The relevant case was an isolated incident, and no other UniSat wallet users were affected. The possible reason was that the victim's browser extension or remote device access was compromised. UniSat Wallet cannot access user funds or private keys, and has no ability or authority to freeze assets, but will fully cooperate with law enforcement investigations. UniSat added that since the stolen assets involve brc-20 assets that can be traded on PizzaSwap, the PizzaSwap service will work to limit operations of known hacker addresses, including "Swap", "Increase Liquidity" and "Withdrawal", which will help prevent other UTXOs from being "contaminated" by UTXOs containing stolen assets after entering PizzaSwap.
