Odaily News: On September 22, according to SoSoValue data, the crypto market rose across the board, with the AI sector showing strong performance, up 9.66% in 24 hours. Among them, Bittensor (TAO) rose 18.97%, Akedo (AKE) surged 13.63%, and Fetch.ai (FET) gained 14.01%. Meanwhile, Bitcoin (BTC) rose 5.31%, briefly breaking above $87,000 during intraday trading; Ethereum (ETH) rose 2.63%, breaking above $2,700.Notably, MAG7.ssi rose 4.54%, DEFI.ssi rose 0.01%, and MEME.ssi rose 11.08%.In other sectors, the Meme sector rose 8.91% in 24 hours, with Pepe (PEPE) up 25.19%; the PayFi sector rose 4.22%, with eCash (XEC) up 10.11%; the Layer2 sector rose 2.77%, with ImmutableX (IMX) up 8.00%; the Layer1 sector rose 1.85%, with Sui (SUI) up 12.68%; the CeFi sector rose 1.49%, with Cronos (CRO) up 8.19%; the DeFi sector rose 1.04%, with Raydium (RAY) up 7.14%. Crypto sector indices reflecting historical sector performance showed that the ssiMeme, ssiAI, and ssiGameFi indices rose 11.54%, 9.74%, and 7.52% respectively.
All product revenue will be used for buyback and burn, Cronos Labs initiates CRO governance proposal
Odaily reports that Cronos Labs has initiated a governance proposal on GitHub to use all product revenue generated by Ult and Cronos Launch on a monthly basis for open market buybacks and burning of CRO, with the relevant on-chain transaction hashes to be made public. Operational, infrastructure, and growth expenditures are planned to be covered by existing funds.Additionally, Cronos Labs plans to use strategic reserves to supplement future Cronos POS staking rewards, in order to maintain existing reward parameters as CRO inflationary emissions gradually decay. The staking method, lock-up period, and reward structure will remain unchanged. The proposal is currently in the discussion phase and will subsequently be submitted for on-chain governance voting; the voting period is 14 days, the quorum is 33.4% of staked CRO, and it will pass with more than 50% of non-abstaining votes in favor.
ACX will be discontinued on January 8, 2027, and Across Protocol has launched a token redemption portal
Odaily reports that Across Protocol has announced the launch of its token redemption portal. The protocol has been transferred to a new company, Across, Inc. (AcrossCo), and ACX will be gradually phased out. After January 8, 2027, ACX will lose all governance, utility, and economic functions. Token holders can choose between two options before the deadline: exchange ACX for AcrossCo equity at a 1:1 ratio, with an implied valuation of $0.04375 per token, with a minimum holding of 250,000 ACX in principle, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and subject to KYC completion, with U.S. applicants required to be accredited investors; or redeem for USDC at a fixed price of $0.04375 per token, subject to standard sanctions screening.
