Pendle Native Deployment on X Layer, Multi-Incentive Campaigns Launching Soon
Odaily News, According to official sources, yield trading protocol Pendle has been natively deployed to X Layer, with OKX Wallet now supporting user access to Pendle's yield markets. Users can lock in fixed returns through Principal Tokens (PT), trade future yields using Yield Tokens (YT), and participate in liquidity strategies to further expand on-chain asset yield opportunities. Additionally, an exclusive incentive campaign for Aave-backed Global Dollar (USDG) is set to launch in the near future.
Aave V4 Adds Support for PT Looping on Pendle, Enabling Users to Participate in the PT-USDG Loop Lending Strategy

以太坊基金会向WEBCAT提供安全资助,助力钱包验证前端代码防范钓鱼攻击
Odaily Planet Daily News: The Ethereum Foundation's "Trillion Dollar Security" (1TS) initiative has announced a dedicated grant to the Freedom of the Press Foundation (FPF) to support the continued development of the open-source tool WEBCAT, addressing the long-standing security gap in front-end code verification for Ethereum wallets and decentralized applications (DApps).WEBCAT (Web-based Code Assurance and Transparency) is an open-source tool designed to help browsers verify that the code loaded by a website matches the version publicly released by its developers. This grant will drive the expansion of WEBCAT to Ethereum wallets and application scenarios, enabling users to verify whether the front-end pages they access have been tampered with. The Ethereum Foundation stated that while HTTPS currently verifies the website a user connects to and encrypts communication, it cannot prove that the front-end code actually running on the website is the version released by developers. If an attacker gains control over a website's front-end code, they could modify transaction recipient addresses without the user's knowledge, or trick users into signing transactions that differ from what is displayed on the page. The Ethereum Foundation noted that front-end attacks have become a significant security risk in blockchain infrastructure. Malicious modifications to web interfaces could lead to supply chain attacks, post-DNS-hijacking attacks, and user interface spoofing.WEBCAT was originally developed by the Freedom of the Press Foundation to enhance code trustworthiness in secure communication systems like SecureDrop. With this expansion into the Ethereum ecosystem, it will complement security measures under the 1TS initiative, such as "Clear Signing": the former helps wallets confirm that the application front-end has not been tampered with, while the latter helps users understand the transaction content they are approving.
USDY Launches on BNB Chain, Bringing Yield-Bearing Dollar Assets to Millions of Users and AI Agents
Odaily News - Ondo's tokenized U.S. Treasury yield token USDY (U.S. Dollar Yield Token) is now officially live on BNB Chain, supporting instant minting/redemption and cross-chain bridging functionality. As a permissionless tokenized U.S. Treasury product, USDY's integration into one of the world's most active public chain ecosystems means institutional-grade yield assets are now directly accessible without permission. This launch marks a significant step in USDY's multi-chain expansion, providing millions of users and AI agents in the BNB Chain DeFi ecosystem with exposure to yield-bearing dollar assets, while delivering a dual boost in capital efficiency and transaction speed through its instant minting and redemption mechanism. Users can now directly hold U.S. Treasury-backed yield assets natively on BNB Chain without needing to bridge assets from other chains; for developers, USDY also serves as premium collateral for on-chain lending, trading, and liquidity protocols, seamlessly integrating with native BNB Chain applications.

ARK Invest Executive Questions Stablecoin Consortium Project OpenUSD: Potential Repeat of "Diem-Style Collaborative Failure"
Odaily Planet Daily News: Lorenzo Valente, ARK Invest's Director of Digital Asset Research, has questioned the stablecoin consortium project OpenUSD, expressing high skepticism about whether such consortium-style stablecoin initiatives can achieve scale. He believes that similar alliances have emerged multiple times before, including Diem and Global Dollar, but ultimately failed to form dominant network effects. Currently, the stablecoin market remains dominated by Tether and Circle, whose core advantages lie in strong network effects and instant liquidity. OpenUSD, however, may face a "cold start" problem, as its joint governance structure will severely slow down decision-making efficiency, making it prone to coordination failures under decentralized governance—resembling the governance dilemmas of DAO experiments: high collaboration costs, slow execution, and difficulty deploying capital efficiently.Furthermore, OpenUSD's economic model appears unsustainable for long-term operations. If it relies on a low-fee split mechanism, it will be unable to cover the costs of infrastructure, incentives, and market expansion.Lorenzo Valente concluded that OpenUSD resembles more of a "collection of letters of intent" than a unified product system with strong execution capabilities. He argued that in the long run, the more likely winners are single operators capable of rapid iteration and independent decision-making, rather than joint governance structures requiring multi-party consensus.
