Reap Launches Virtual Asset Direct Spending Ledger, Enabling Card Payments with Bitcoin Balances
Odaily News: Reap, the payments company under Kraken parent Payward, has launched a virtual asset ledger that allows users of exchanges, wallets, neobanks, and fintech platforms to directly spend Bitcoin and other virtual asset balances via Visa cards issued by Reap. Payments are converted at real-time exchange rates without the need to pre-convert to stablecoins. Reap data shows that card spending funded by virtual assets reached $1.04 billion in July 2026.
Superlogic Acquires Entravel Crypto Business and Spree, Animoca Brands Becomes Strategic Investor
Odaily News: This acquisition will enhance Bookit's ability to provide crypto institutions with native travel and experience booking platform access services, and strengthen the tokenization capabilities of on-chain points and interoperable rewards. As part of the acquisition of Spree.Finance, Animoca Brands will become a strategic investor and shareholder of Superlogic, and its Chief Operating Officer Minh Do will join the Superlogic advisory board. Following the completion of the acquisition, the Bookit ecosystem will add 27 white-label partners including Kraken, MetaMask, and EtherFi, and open a travel, retail, and VIP experience network covering over 2 million merchants to partners and end users.
X launches Cashtag Partners, connecting stock and crypto asset discussions with trading features
Odaily reports that X Business posted on X platform, announcing the launch of the Cashtag Partners program, which connects financial information and trading features for stocks and crypto assets. Partners in the program include Kraken, moomoo, Gemini, Interactive Brokers, and Coinbase, allowing users to more easily connect financial discussions on the platform with trading features.

Odaily News: According to Onchain Lens monitoring, BitMine accumulated and withdrew 12,500 ETH from Kraken today, worth approximately $34.56 million; three weeks ago, BitMine also accumulated 20,000 ETH from Kraken, worth approximately $48.89 million.
Kraken Co-CEO Criticizes U.S. Crypto Regulatory Stance, Calls Europe's MiCA More Mature
Odaily reports: David Ripley, Co-CEO of U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, stated that Europe has taken a more pragmatic approach to crypto regulation, with the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) providing clarity on market rules. In contrast, the U.S. regulatory environment is more adversarial.Ripley noted that the CLARITY Act has been slow to advance, with related efforts ongoing for years. He believes that if the U.S. continues to delay pushing forward crypto regulatory legislation, it may cede its leadership in financial innovation to the European Union.Kraken obtained a MiCA license from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) in June 2025, allowing it to operate across all 30 member states of the European Economic Area (EEA). Trading entry moves upfront: Kraken joins X's Cashtag program
Odaily reports that Kraken joined X's U.S. Cashtag partner program on September 16. After users click on ticker tags such as BTC on X, in addition to viewing related posts and price charts, they can also follow a trading link to jump to the Kraken app or website, where they can log in or sign up to complete a purchase, with the transaction still executed on Kraken's side. A 2024 experiment by the UK Financial Conduct Authority involving more than 9,000 consumers showed that push notifications increased trading volume by 11%, while points and sweepstakes increased trading volume by 12%.
7 assets will be subject to forced liquidation, involving DAI, XMR, ZEC, and USDe, among others, held by Kraken's UAE users
Odaily reports that Kraken has been forcibly liquidating the balances of XMR, ZEC, DASH, USDD, DAI, USDS, and USDe held by UAE users since September 15, with the liquidation window continuing until September 25. Withdrawals of the relevant assets ceased at 14:00 UTC on September 14, and trading and deposits were closed on June 16, with no remedy available thereafter. Kraken stated that the delisting was based on a "routine asset review," did not mention any regulatory requirements, and said it could not confirm the denominating currency of the liquidation proceeds prior to execution.
Profited approximately $15.21 million, a Bitcoin whale transferred 1,651.82 BTC back to Kraken
Odaily reports that this batch of Bitcoin was worth approximately $126.69 million, withdrawn from Kraken in April of this year, and then redeposited into Kraken after being transferred through two new wallets. The relevant wallet balance has now been emptied, and the whale made a profit of approximately $15.21 million on this position.
