Odaily News: GnosisDAO has approved the transition of the blockchain network Gnosis Chain from a standalone Layer 1 network to a zero-knowledge proof-based Ethereum Economic Zone (EEZ) Rollup. The network will eliminate its independent validator set and instead rely on Ethereum validators to settle transactions.The proposal received 123,158 GNO in favor, 115 against, and 151 abstentions, involving 54 participants with a total participation of 123,425 GNO, exceeding the quorum threshold of 75,000 GNO. The upgrade is initially planned to launch in late 2026 or early 2027, depending on the technical readiness of the EEZ.After the upgrade, Gnosis Chain's native smart contracts will be able to call Ethereum and use the returned results within the same transaction, while also accessing Ethereum mainnet assets and liquidity. Gnosis Chain will become the first deployed EEZ instance, retaining its existing applications, balances, and xDAI fuel token. (Cointelegraph)

Odaily News Gnosis Chain posted on the X platform that third-party applications need to take action, and the xDAI bridge contract is undergoing a key upgrade: on Ethereum, DAI will be replaced by USDS as the default accepted token, while xDAI will continue to be minted on Gnosis Chain. Third-party applications must complete integration with the new Bridge Router contract on Ethereum before June 8, 2025.

Odaily News Gnosis community members are reconsidering the chain’s choice of gas token in light of MakerDAO’s recent rebranding to Sky and the launch of a new stablecoin, Sky Dollar (USDS). Gnosis operates a sidechain that currently uses a bridged version of DAI, called xDAI, to pay for gas on the network. MakerDAO is the issuer of DAI, a stablecoin backed by crypto asset collateral. As part of MakerDAO’s “endgame” plan, it will allow DAI holders the option to upgrade their tokens to USDS at a 1:1 ratio, while also offering the opportunity for native token rewards. The new USDS stablecoin may introduce more centralized features, including the ability to “freeze” wallet addresses and restrict access to users from the UK and the US. These changes have raised concerns among Gnosis chain users about the reliability of USDS in covering transaction costs. (The Block)

Odaily reported that according to Scopescan monitoring, Curve founder Michael Egorov deposited 11 million CRV (5.73 million US dollars) into Silo 6 hours ago and lent 1.8 million crvUSD. He then exchanged 1.8 million crvUSD for USDT and DAI, of which 1.55 million USDT was used to repay the debt on Aave and 250,000 DAI was sent to the xDAI bridge.

Odaily星球日报讯 GnosisDAO社区发起一项新提案，建议将Gnosis Chain上2500万枚xDAI存入DAI储蓄率 (DSR)，Gnosis Chain用户可以用xDAI来铸造GC sDAI并累积DSR储蓄收益。理论上，Gnosis Chain上的DSR收益率始终高于以太坊主网上，因为只有所有xDAI都被质押，才能实现利率平衡。 注：DSR是由MakerDAO治理设定的可变利率，允许DAI持有者通过将他们的DAI锁定在DSR合约中来赚取储蓄收益。
