从ANSEM到CZ,SolanaとBSCの「セレブコイン」リレーレース
The past week may have been the most eventful week on-chain. It all started with $ANSEM, which rocketed to a $100 million market cap in 24 hours, achieving a staggering 600x increase within a single day.
Ansem's Return: The Beginning of the On-Chain Frenzy
On June 9th, crypto KOL Ansem claimed he was returning to buy Solana memecoins for the first time in over a year. Recently, he repeatedly mentioned the pump.fun airdrop, interacted with numerous pump.fun tweets suggesting they release the airdrop now, and publicly discussed this on the Market Bubble podcast:

If you were running pump.fun starting today, what would you do first? Ansem: Airdrop
Starting June 21st, he began to frequently mention the concept of "RTM (Return to Meme)."

But at that time, no one anticipated the start of this rally, let alone its manifestation as a "celebrity coin" like $ANSEM. Initially, Ansem's popularity was largely due to his role as a "meme justice warrior," leading the charge to suggest an airdrop to pump.fun while the meme market was in a prolonged slump, arguing it could reactivate market liquidity.
It wasn't until Ansem stated on X that he would randomly select lucky viewers every week to receive his creator revenue airdrops, asking them to retweet his post, follow him on pump.fun, and leave a link to their pump.fun profile in the comments. This "soft claim" ignited the emotions of on-chain players.

At the time, many on-chain players felt this was reminiscent of when OpenSea delayed its token launch, only for OpenDAO ($SOS) to airdrop tokens to NFT players. In both cases, a KOL led the charge, capitalizing on the long-standing discontent of the players.
However, our assessment was, "It's hard to say if Ansem truly returned to the trenches as a pure meme hero. Ansem is no longer just a legendary memecoin player or crypto KOL. One of his current identities is co-founder of the trading terminal Bullpen."
This assessment proved correct, as Ansem later set up a $ANSEM airdrop claim page on Bullpen. When he stepped forward to claim the coin, he likely already planned for it to serve as the best advertisement for his trading platform.
Narratives Shift Rapidly Within a Week
After $ANSEM broke through a $100 million market cap, the narrative quickly shifted from combating pump.fun and issuing airdrops to "celebrity coins."
The "celebrity coin" here refers to the practice of sending tokens with a 60% or higher allocation, tickered after a crypto KOL, to the KOL's public wallet address, waiting for them to tweet and claim it. Shortly after $ANSEM surpassed $100 million, $TJR emerged, briefly reaching a market cap of nearly $30 million and being hailed as the second-place runner-up.
However, TJR effectively ended all possibility for this runner-up during a livestream that very night. He stated that the fragmentation was terrible, urging everyone to refocus on $ANSEM and push its market cap to $1 billion.
This caused $TJR to falter from that point on, but it also prevented further fragmentation, bringing attention and capital back to $ANSEM.
After this incident, the frenzy for new "celebrity coins" cooled temporarily as everyone turned their attention to specific projects Ansem was bullish on. Projects like the US stock stablecoin project Nest and the Solana game Kintara saw gains during this phase.
Next, everyone zeroed in on Ansem's public wallet address. $manlet appeared in a tweet where Ansem showed his wallet. Following that tweet, its market cap rapidly surged from $3 million to over $13 million, and briefly surpassed $25 million that night.

Overall, after $TJR, there was no clear trend on Solana. $ANSEM didn't generate significant liquidity spillover into other narratives. Logically, the strategy of simply copying Ansem's holdings, as seen with $manlet, should have been caught by the market earlier, but Ansem's earlier tweets did not spark this kind of speculative frenzy:

Since the relay race for new tokens on Solana was weak, it was time for BSC to take over.
The Rally Moves to BSC
At 5 AM yesterday, a tweet from CZ published in 2021 was unearthed. This tweet features a "big black bull" image, similar to the icon associated with $ANSEM. CZ said five years ago, "Everyone knows I'm a bull, but you haven't seen my final form."

Consequently, $CZ was suddenly subject to a massive pump, surging nearly 200x within an hour. Although everyone felt CZ wouldn't get personally involved like Ansem, tweeting daily and issuing airdrops, the coin still rose. Furthermore, this coin ultimately withstood the fragmentation caused by other tokens with the same name and a rapid downward correction after the surge (its market cap crashed from ~$40 million to below $6 million in just one hour), eventually recovering to nearly $90 million.
The token that felt more like BSC's $ANSEM was $TCC, because someone sent tokens to @TCryptochicks, and he also actively promoted the token on X. It gained attention because of CZ's frequent interactions with him on X, giving people the impression that "CZ recognizes this as the BSC Ansem":

The "bet on celebrities" phenomenon is also playing out on BSC. This morning, $dingaling was FOMO'd to a $5 million market cap without a claim from the intended recipient. It then quickly crashed, and now has a market cap of less than $300,000.
Currently, the sentiment on BSC is better than on Solana, especially for Tier-1 speculators. BSC's pace is faster, but it currently offers more opportunities than Solana. It remains difficult to predict how the market will develop on both chains. Hopefully, a new narrative will emerge to succeed the "celebrity coin" trend.
