This feature applies the proven copy trading model to the stock market for the first time, allowing users to bypass complex trading strategy research. By updating the Gate App to version V8.29.0, users can follow professional traders with a single click to simultaneously invest in US, Hong Kong, and Korean stocks, as well as all categories of ETFs, further lowering the barrier for users to build a global multi-market stock portfolio.
In terms of functionality, users can enter the stock copy trading section to view key data indicators such as trader performance, historical drawdowns, and number of copiers, and select suitable lead traders based on their investment preferences. The system employs a proportional replication mechanism, dynamically calculating positions based on the ratio of available assets between the copier and the lead trader. This achieves a high degree of fidelity to the trader's stock holdings, supporting synchronized execution of buy, partial sell, and full sell orders.
Gate's stock copy trading supports fractional shares, allowing participation in position building with as little as 0.01 shares, thus lowering the entry barrier for high-value stocks. Regardless of capital size, users can participate in investment opportunities in popular stocks like Apple, NVIDIA, Tencent, and Samsung through proportional copy trading. The feature operates 24/7, unconstrained by traditional stock market opening hours, enabling users to manage their global stock investment strategies more flexibly.
In terms of profit mechanisms, Gate's stock copy trading adopts the High-Water Mark (HWM) profit-sharing model. Profit sharing is triggered only when the copier's cumulative net profit exceeds the historical peak. During loss periods, the lead trader receives no profit share; they must help the copier recover losses and generate new profits before earning again. Qualified professional traders can apply to become stock lead traders, earning up to a 10% profit share by sharing their trading strategies. The platform facilitates the release of trading strategy value through data display, strategy management, and user connection mechanisms, aligning the long-term interests of lead traders and copiers.
