Hackathon Overview
Recently, the Sonic DeFAI hackathon came to a successful conclusion, setting off a wave of participation and innovation in the Sonic blockchain ecosystem. The event attracted 822 developers to register, and 47 projects were finally reviewed. During the four-week competition, participants developed new AI agents to compete for a total prize pool of $295,000. These agents are designed to participate in social and on-chain activities to help promote DeFAI (decentralized finance driven by artificial intelligence).
The core innovation of the event focuses on autonomous agent integration. Some highlight projects use Zerebro and its open source framework ZerePy, demonstrating Sonics high processing performance of 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) and sub-second finality, while highlighting its seamless liquidity integration advantage with Ethereum.
The hackathon focused on technical implementation, design, potential impact and creativity, and the submitted projects were evaluated by a team of industry experts, including Michael Kong, CEO of Sonic Labs. The event fully highlights Sonics strength in promoting the future development of decentralized finance through innovative AI applications and powerful blockchain infrastructure.
