The Verifiable AI online and offline hackathons jointly organized by Flare and Google Cloud focus on the development of verifiable autonomous AI applications. Relying on Google Cloud confidential computing and Flare oracle technology, and in collaboration with institutions such as the University of Berkeley to provide technical support, it covers a variety of core development directions.

Hackathon Overview

The Flare x Google Verifiable AI online hackathon offline hackathon, jointly organized by Flare and Google Cloud, will be held in March 2025, focusing on the development of verifiable autonomous AI applications and promoting the deep integration of blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies. Submitted projects cover four core categories: Social AI Agent, RAG Knowledge, AI x DeFi (DeFAI) and Consensus Learning. Relying on Google Cloud confidential computing and Flare oracle technology, it provides secure and reliable on-chain and off-chain collaborative support for data-intensive AI applications. At the same time, through online tutoring, technical seminars and cooperation with institutions such as the University of Berkeley and DoraHacks, it helps developers to implement technology.

All winners were judged by a panel of industry experts including Flare co-founder Hugo Philion and Google Cloud representative Ross Nicoll. The online hackathon was held from March 7 to 14 with a total prize pool of $40,000, attracting 358 developers to participate, and 46 innovative projects were finally submitted for review. The offline hackathon was held at the University of California, Berkeley from March 7 to 9, with a total prize pool of $60,000. A total of 105 developers participated on site and submitted 24 projects.

Through technical integration, this hackathon verified the trusted operating mechanism of AI agents in decentralized scenarios, provided practical cases for DeFAI, privacy computing and other fields, and built an integrated industry-university-research platform to accelerate the cross-domain application of blockchain and AI technologies, marking the deep collaboration of the two technologies in the decentralized ecosystem has entered a new stage.
