The United Nations once again "overweights" blockchain technology and Blockchain cooperation to promote the sustainable development agenda

Blockchain, an encrypted digital currency wallet start-up company, announced a partnership with the United Nations to explore the application of blockchain technology in the fields of natural resource protection and democratic system protection.

Blockchain, based in the UK, is already working with volunteers from the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the World Economic Forum (WEF). In addition, the company has produced a brand new white paper that addresses some of the sustainability work issues relevant to international organisations.

In fact, blockchain technology has become an important solution in the United Nations sustainable development agenda. At present, the United Nations has begun to discuss how to apply blockchain technology to refugee digital identification.

The Blockchain company believes that the latest white paper can help advance these efforts. It is reported that their next step will help policy makers, regulators and various United Nations member states gain an in-depth understanding of blockchain technology. In addition, the company announced that its co-founder Nic Cary will join the United Nations Blockchain Council for Sustainable Development.
