According to news from Bixin, the digital currency DCEP developed by the People's Bank of China has begun internal testing in the Agricultural Bank of China.
According to the screenshot of the internal test wallet obtained by the reporter, the DCEP wallet will support functions such as digital asset exchange, digital wallet management, digital currency transaction record query, and wallet affiliation. It also supports basic functions such as code scanning payment, remittance receipt and payment, and mobile phone chip payment. The screenshot of the internal test of the Agricultural Bank of China’s digital currency wallet confirmed the speculation that the central bank’s digital currency will be first tested and launched by the four major banks.Caijing magazine previously reported that the first batch of DCEP pilot institutions will include the four major state-owned commercial banks of Industry, Agriculture, China, and Construction, and the three major operators of China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom. Its pilot scenarios include transportation, education, medical care, consumption, etc., reaching C-end users.

On April 10, Zhou Xuedong, Director of the General Office of the Central Bank, pointed out at the first-quarter financial statistics conference that the central bank is advancing in an orderly manner in accordance with the original plan regarding digital currencies.
At the beginning of this month, Yao Qian, the "father of digital currency" of the central bank, published an article "
Yao Qian: There is no conflict between the blockchain and the central control of the central bank"。
", believes that the central bank's digital currency should adhere to the selection of blockchain technology.
In a conference call on April 3, the central bank stated that it would "unswervingly promote the research and development of legal digital currencies."
