An article to understand the journey of Plasm on Polkadot

We started creating Plasm Network in 2019. Since then, we have delivered many technological advancements and products in the Polkadot ecosystem. We feel like it's been a great process so far, but we're still in the early stages of realizing our Web 3.0 vision.

One of the achievements I'm proud of is that we have delivered 4 grants from the Web3 Foundation. Accepting a grant and delivering a grant are two different things. Delivering results is more of a challenge than receiving grant funding. We got the Foundation to us6Grant funding for different projects, currently we only have two projects left: ZK rollps and Optimistic rollps.

Some might be interested in why we implemented rollup on Polkadot, even though Polkadot itself is already a scalable solution.Polkadot generally provides scalability for blockchains, while Plasm is a Layer1 smart contract platform that includes Rollups solutions.

In the next few months, we believe that many Ethereum projects will use rollups, because Ethereum 2.0 will still take some time to complete. TheseProjects using rollups can migrate from Ethereum to the Plasm network, or multi-chain applications without compromising its rollups contract on Ethereum.

Plasm Network is a candidate chain of Polkadot parachain, as a dApps hub, it supports multi-virtual machines and Layer2 scaling solutions. To make the Plasm network a parachain on Polkadot, we have achieved the following technical achievements on Rococo:

• January 13th becomesThe first Polkadot testnet parachain

• Deployed on Polkadot testnet on January 31stThe first WASM smart contract

• Completed on the Polkadot parachain testnet Rococo along with Acala's parachain testnetEthereum Virtual Machine。

Finally, I would like to talk about our ecological progress:

• It raised $2.4 million, with participation from Binance Labs, HashKey, PAKA Ventures, LongHash, and Digital Finance Group.

• OKEx Announces Investment in Plasm Network

• Graduated from LongHash Incubator

• Be a member of the first Substrate Builders Program

• Two Lockdrops were performed, 150,000 ETH locked in our smart contract

• Graduated from UC Berkeley Accelerator

• Participate in Polkadot / Kusama Parachain Auction

• Complete Optimistic Virtual Machine implementation

• Complete the implementation of the ZK Rollups Substrate module

• Start Shiden Network on Kusama Network

It's been an incredible journey, but we're still in the early days of the Web 3.0 era. We will do our best to build Web3.0 together with ecosystem members, let us create the future of Web3.0 together!
