Nillion announced that it has closed a $25 million funding round led by Hack VC, with participation from other venture capitalists (VCs) and angel investors, bringing the total amount raised by Nillion across all rounds to over $50 million.

Nillion’s funding was divided into three parts: a VC round, an angel investment round, and a community round in partnership with CoinList, the latter of which has been sold out.

Nillion’s backers include venture capital firms such as Hack VC, Distributed Global and Hashkey, which are known for their investments in blockchain and distributed infrastructure. Angel investors include KOLs such as Ansem, Arthur Hayes and Meltem Demirors, as well as leaders of projects such as Worldcoin, Injective and Sei.

Nillion builds a blind computing platform

The concept of blind computing allows sensitive data to be processed securely without revealing its content, enabling the creation of a new ecosystem of private data applications across all sectors. The infrastructure provides private data storage and computing for AI agents, data marketplaces, private DeFi, healthcare analytics, and more.

Nillion has partnered with some of the leading blockchain projects looking to implement this functionality, including NEAR, Aptos, Arbitrum, Mantle, IO.net, Ritual, and others.

Currently, the Nillion ecosystem has more than 40 developers.

About Nillion: The future of private and secure data

Data is quickly becoming the world’s most valuable commodity. This trend is accelerating in the age of personalized AI and data-driven AI agents. As a result, data requires a new generation of infrastructure to meet the growing demands for secure storage and computation in this brave new world.

Nillion was founded 3 years ago to build a future where high-value data is protected through decentralization and privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) such as secure multi-party computation (MPC) and homomorphic encryption. Nillion is moving towards a world where data privacy can be seamlessly integrated into developer applications.
